On the occasion of the 2010 Winter Olympics, proudly representing their Métis roots, the youthful Métis Fiddler Quartet, will showcase the unique and distinct sounds of traditional Canadian Métis and Native fiddle music to the world. This versatile, bilingual, Toronto based, family ensemble have traveled far and wide to study with surviving old time fiddlers in order to reintroduce the music that kept the dancehalls of Western Canada clapping and tapping their toes until the introduction of hi fi.
